The Masport Chipper Shredder with a Briggs & Stratton 6.5HP engine, features a hopper manufactured to last. Made from 4mm UV resistant polyethylene it is rotationally moulded for added strength and will never rust. A metal plate has been added to the base of the hopper to protect it from flying debris. The unit features rugged 5mm steel side plates, for many years of dependable service, plus a chute handle and large wheels for easy manoeuvrability.
In the event of a sudden stop of the rotor, the engine crankshaft on the Masport Chipper Shredder is protected from damage by the belt drive system. The heavy duty cutting system is designed to maximise shredding performance. Three hardened high steel rods support nine staggered metal flails, ensuring all material placed in the unit is shredded.
