Hansa HANSA C13 Petrol Chipper - Honda Powered This is the ideal machine for small- to medium-sized horticultural businesses, orchards, nurseries, farms, school grounds and parks where organic waste is too precious to burn or dump. The Hansa C13 will mulch your organic matter to produce the finest fertiliser in the form of compost in a matter of weeks, or for use as mulch to suppress weed growth and retain moisture in the soil.
Starting the C13 is easy thanks to the soft start engagement system. The 6.5 horsepower of the quality Honda GCX200 196cc four-stroke engine is transmitted to the cutting disk through a twin belt drive, which provides smooth running and protects the engine against shock loads.
Employing two cutting knives, the heavy duty C13 has the appetite to chip branch material (green or dry) up to 90mm thick.
With the Hansa C13 no pre-cutting is necessary and the branches are drawn into the input chute. The cutting blades shear the material against an adjustable hardened counter knife, or anvil. This action will be just as efficient in 10 years' time as on the first day of use, so long as the knives are kept sharp.
The extremely efficient self-feeding action can be attributed to the design of the rotor and the blade set up. The inertia generated by the large rotor disk creates sufficient momentum to continue cutting, as well as providing enough of draught to discharge the mulch up to 4 metres away. The distance can be moved closer to the operating area, if desired, by adjusting the deflector on the chute. Having a discharge height of 1.2 metres makes the C13 model ideal for discharging onto a trailer, wheelbarrow or stockpile, eliminating the need for any double handling of the material.
Access to blades and clearing of the cutting chamber is simple - a few turns of the wingnut and everything is accessible within seconds. The blades are individually adjustable, eliminating the need for angle adjustment and allowing optimal clearance. The blades can last anywhere up to 30 hours before requiring sharpening, depending on the type of material being handled.
The C13 is fitted with large pneumatic wheels and and a front castor wheel for easy transportation. The C13 housing is constructed from 5mm steel plate which provides the strength and resilience that means this machine will last you a lifetime.

Hansa chipper housings are made of solid 5mm & 10mm steel. All surfaces are media blasted prior to powder-coating for complete adhesion.
SELF-FEEDING:
The chute is designed with the user in mind. It includes a large opening (no pre-cutting necessary!) and is angled at a comfortable operating height to make the most of its self-feeding action.

Blockages are rare, but should you need to clear the housing or access knives for servicing the chipper is designed to open up easily & safely.
