Returns Policy
RETURNS & COMPLAINTS
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your order, you should contact us via email in the first instance. The email address is: queries@cheapmowers.com - we will achknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and at this stage advise you on how long it will take to resolve the complaint. We will keep you informed throughout the process. This does not affect your statuory rights as a consumer.
The cost of return will be borne by the customer unless the product is defective or was received in error. In the event that the product has been used and has been returned as unwanted during this period, any benefit gained from use beyond normal examination will be taken into consideration when deciding on the amount to be refunded as will any damage from use, cosmetic or otherwise, to the machine. Returned items should be made available for collection by our shipping company. We would request that returned products are sent back in their original packaging. In the event that this is not done, and we are required to use a more expensive means of collection or packaging service, any excess charges we face will be passed onto the customer. We will issue any refunds as soon as possible and no later than 30 days after cancellation. The customer is responsible for the condition and safekeeping of all goods until collected by us, or, if the customer returns the item to us by their own chosen means, until it reaches us.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Policy
Buying a new electrical item from us?
We will recycle the one you're replacing for free. It must be a like for like item. For example, if you purchase an electric lawnmower, we will dispose of your old electric lawnmower.
Simply bring the old electrical item to us, within 28 days, show us the receipt for its replacement and we will do the rest. Alternatively, dispose of your electrical items at your local household waste site. You can find local recycling points for your old electricals by clicking on this link:
https://www.recycleyourelectricals.org.uk/
Why is this so important?
We have been proud to have been part of the WEEE campaign since 2013. From January 2021, the Waste Electrical and Electronic (WEEE) Directive implemented the Retailer Take-Back Scheme. Retailers of electrical items were asked to think very seriously about how they help customers buying new electrical equipment, to recycle their old electrical items and indeed how we process WEEE. It was astonishing to learn that the average household in the UK currently throws away 20 electrical items every year, and millions of gadgets are gathering dust unused and unwanted in cupboards and garages across the country.
Recycling and reusing unwanted electrical or electronics can help save the planet, boost the economy and improve lives. Not only that, electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) contains materials, parts and substances which can be dangerous to the environment and harmful to human health if not disposed of correctly.
Electrical and electronic equipment is now the fastest growing waste stream in the UK and across the world.
Discover the impact of reusing and recycling your electricals here: www.recycleyourelectricals.org.uk.
What can I recycle?
Anything with a plug, battery or cable can be recycled or reused! The materials from recycled electricals can be used in everything from children's playgrounds to lifesaving equipment, while donated tech can help bridge the digital divide.
You will find this symbol on all your electrical items. Recycle your old electricals, rather than binning them.
We are proud to be helping to reduce electrical waste.
Together we can make our world a cleaner place.
