Product Description

Hyundai HY1000Si-LPG Inverter Generator This compact, lightweight and portable inverter generator from Hyundai provides a convenient and economical source of power for camping, caravan and motorhome trips. Take the modern luxuries with you wherever you go.

This is the dual fuel version of the HY1000Si which has been converted to run off LPG as well as petrol. If you own a caravan and already use and store LPG on your travels, having your inverter generator converted to run off LPG results in many benefits.

These include:

It can be plugged directly into gas hookup on a caravan
Further reduced engine noise, even lower than the 58dB produced when running on petrol.
Improved combustion, as LPG reaches the engine in gas form, rather than liquid.
Enhanced starting, even from cold, with a smoother ignition.
The engine oil does not become diluted which results in lower servicing costs, however regular servicing is still recommended.
Low cost, especially for users who already store LPG in their caravan.
No need to have to store or bring a supply of petrol with you if you do already have a supply of LPG.
When a Hyundai inverter generator is converted to run off LPG, the option to run off petrol is still available, meaning you can use the fuel which suits the situation at hand best.

Commonly known as a suitcase generator due to its design, the HY1000Si-LPG is the entry level model in the Hyundai range. As one of the most popular generators in the UK leisure market, it’s ideal for powering your family holiday or weekend in the wilderness away from the National Grid.

Powered by the Hyundai HX53, a 53cc recoil start four-stroke engine, the HY1000Si-LPG is both easy to start and reliable. With a maximum output of 1kW, this suitcase generator is more than capable of powering a television, electric heaters, laptops and lights. The control panel features a 230v socket for use with any equipment that features a standard 13a UK mains plug.

Producing a pure sine wave output, which mimics the power supplied by the mains, sensitive electronic equipment is perfectly safe to be powered by this leisure generator without risk of any damage being caused.

Designed to be easy-to-use, the HY1000Si-LPG has the latest safety features such as low oil shutdown and digital overload protection. Should oil levels drop too low, or if you try to apply too much load to the machine, it will simply shut down until you can top it up with oil or restart it with less load. With easy maintenance requirements and the full support of Hyundai’s customer service, this is the ideal generator for novice users who simply need a generator that works.

The LPG conversion adds 1.7kg to the overall weight over this suitcase generator, however it still remains a lightweight machine at just 14.7kg. With a built-in carry handle, transportation is incredibly easy and the compact design ensures it can be stored in tight spaces in caravans, campervans, motorhomes and even a car boot.

When running on petrol, the 2.7L fuel tank provides a maximum running time of 9 hours at 25% load. In both petrol and LPG mode, fuel economy can be improved by engaging the “Eco” mode, which lowers the engine revs to match only the load that is being applied and lowers the noise produced. Furthermore, “Eco” mode also improves the lifespan of the engine as it won’t be constantly running at full capacity, making it a great option for users who always require the full 1kW of power.
